the Kushimoto Bridge --
which connects Japan's
southernmost town,
Kushimoto-cyo, and Ohshima
island -- and Myouga Loop
Bridge, as well as 0.3km on
Ohshima island, were
digitally simulated,
utilizing these as samples
for viewing considerations.
The Kushimoto Bridge was
built by Nippon Koei Co.,
Ltd., and was awarded the
Doboku-Gakkai Tanaka-shou
(an annual construction
award) in 1998. VR data is
utilized in pre-design
proposals for bridges, and
as sample data in design
proposals.
